Shopify solves the top 3 hidden costs mentioned there: hosting and domain fees, future hosting fees for growing SMBs and security & compliance. How long will it take for the WooCommerce fans out there, to realise that Shopify is indeed the way to go? Not just for SMBs, but also for big corporations? Yes, I’ve chosen this hill to die on.
3 - Recent study uncovers that global Ecommerce fraud is expanding and evolving
Scary, right? See this hot piece of intel: globally, three-quarters of all online businesses plan to increase their fraud budgets in 2023
In the UK, 62% of businesses will be spending more on managing fraud.
France is allocating 70% more funds to fraud management.
Germany plans to increase their fraud budget by 74%.
In the US, 69% of businesses will be allocating more funds to manage fraud.
Canada is leading with an 84% increase in their fraud budget.

2 - Google's latest AI feature will impact Ecommerce 💯
This news have a bit of everything we want to hear nowadays — all the buzzwords: AR generative AI feature. What a mouthful, right? In very simple terms, this article shows the future of Ecommerce is catching up with my expectations: no more second-guessing of your online purchases, you can try the products directly from your device without going to physical store. This is what’s called a “Virtual Try-On”. And Google is being kind of aggressive with this feature that promises reducing a lot of refunds, especially in the fashion industry.
